Home is the first screen you see. It changes with your role: a rep sees their own work, a manager sees the team’s, and an owner or admin also sees setup, the plan and what Meta is counting. Each card loads by itself. If one cannot be read, it says so and the rest of Home still shows.

What each role sees

Home for managers, admins and owners

Figures

Team load

One row for each person holding open conversations, with how many they have and how many of those have a customer waiting. Whoever has the most customers waiting comes first. Unassigned has its own row at the top.

Recent activity

The latest messages across the inbox: who wrote, and who replied. A reply nobody typed, such as one from a workflow, is shown as Automatic. A reply sent from the phone is shown as WhatsApp Business app.

Follow-ups overdue

Follow-ups the team has set whose time has passed, with who has each chat. View all opens the Overdue view in Conversations.

Workflows

The workflows that are switched on, with how many times each has run in the last 7 days and when it last ran.

Extra cards for owners and admins

Finish setting up

The setup card lists what a new workspace still has to do. Each step ticks itself when it is done. Add a payment method at Meta is done at Meta, not in Companion. It is ticked once Meta has accepted your first message. During a free trial the card also says how many days are left, or that the trial has not started yet. The same steps appear as a Setup guide checklist on every screen. Hiding either one hides both, on every device you sign in on. To bring them back, open the menu under your name and choose Setup guide.

Plan and usage

Your plan, and how much of it is in use: Seats, WhatsApp numbers and Broadcast reach this month. Seats count members and invitations that are still open. The button goes to billing. See Plans.

Free replies this month

Meta gives each WhatsApp number a monthly allowance of free replies sent from Companion, by your team or by a workflow. This card shows how much of it each number has used. Replies from the WhatsApp Business app are free and are not counted. Templates are charged separately and are not counted here. See Meta’s charges.

Needs attention

This card lists things that have gone wrong and that you can put right. You only see what your role can act on. The most serious come first, up to eight. Each row has a link to where the problem is fixed. When there is nothing to show, the card says which things it checked.

Home for a rep

A rep’s Home shows only their own work. It has no workspace totals, nobody else’s activity, and nothing about billing or setup. Below the figures:
  • Waiting on you lists those chats, the longest wait first. Choose one to open it.
  • Your follow-ups due lists your follow-ups whose time has come.
  • Needs attention shows payment links in your chats that expired or are still unpaid.
  • Workflows shows what is switched on. Run counts cover only the chats you can see.
