# Refer a business

> Share your referral link and earn a discount on your Companion bill when a business you refer becomes a paying customer.

<Note>Owners and admins only.</Note>

When a business you refer becomes a paying customer, your workspace earns points towards a discount on its monthly bill. Go to **Settings**, then **Refer and earn**.

## Share your link

  <Step title="Copy your referral link">
    Choose **Copy link** beside **Referral link**. Each workspace has its own link.

  <Step title="Send it">
    Send the link to the business you are referring. Or choose **Copy message** to copy a short ready-written message with the link in it.

  <Step title="They sign up through the link">
    The business must create its workspace from your link for the referral to count.

## What you earn

* Each referred workspace earns you 60 points once it makes its first payment.
* 60 points is 5% off your monthly bill.
* You can hold up to 180 points, which is three referrals and 15% off. That is the most you can earn.

The discount is applied to your monthly bill automatically. There is nothing to claim.

## Track your referrals

**Your referrals** shows your points out of 180 and the discount you are getting. **Referred workspaces** lists each business that signed up with your link, the date, and its status:

* **Pending.** They have signed up but not made a first payment. No points yet.
* **Qualified.** They have made their first payment, and the points are yours.
